His real name is Brett Joseph, but he goes by many different names – you may know him/may have know him as Brett Jay, Brett Ingham, Brett White, Brett Inglis, Brett James, James Brett, Brett Jones, Brett Williams, Reg Brett, Brett Hunter Baillieu Joseph, Brett Johnson, Brett Armstrong, Brett Star, Brett Kepitis, Brett Baillieu, Brett Macdermid, Hunter Baillieu, Matty Johnson, Hunter Joseph, Brett Joseph Ingham Macdermid, Locky Christian, Lockley Christian, Brett Goodman, Brett McLaughlin or Brett Clarke – or maybe you know him by a different name that I am not yet aware of. Or maybe you know him from one of his many business names – King Ranch Australia, King Ranch Australia Pty Ltd, Joseph Pastoral Co, Joseph Pastoral, B J Joseph, Brett Joseph Pastoral, Joseph Pastoral, Hunter Valley Pastoral, Hunter Valley Pastoral Co, Hunter Pastoral, Hunter Pastoral Co – or maybe, again, you know him from a business name that I am not yet aware of!
But here is the thing about this man – whatever or whoever he has told you he is is probably not true. In fact, it is probably so far from true that you wouldn’t believe it!
Here is the truth about Brett Joseph – things that I know for sure:
- His name is Brett Joseph;
- He is from Mudgee, NSW and his parents still live there;
- His parents are Wayne and Cheryl, and he is an only child;
- His father worked for many years in the mines and his mother as a cleaner. She is now a lollipop lady at a Mudgee school and he a bus driver;
- He went to Mudgee High School – where his favourite subject was drama (funny that – he is quite a good actor);
- He has no tertiary education – despite claiming to be an agronomist and a vet;
- He has been kicked out of a number of colleges and universities – Tocal Ag College, Charles Sturt University Orange Campus, The University of New England and The University of Tasmania – that I know of!
- The reasons he has been kicked out of those institutions include lying, cheating, stealing, impersonating other people and faking admission letters – again, that I know of;
- He has, for a number of years, claimed to be a research agronomist for Bayer – claiming to be partially responsible for the development of Bayer’s Roundup resistant canola. In truth, he has never worked for Bayer as an agronomist and has not had a job for a number of years;
- In 2012, A Current Affair did a story on him – detailing how he ripped St Vincent’s Hospital off to the tune of some $12 million and put offers on multi-million dollar properties in Sydney (which he then never dream of paying for) – all while using the name of a man from his home town of Mudgee;
- Neither him nor any member of his family have ever owned a single hair on a single race horse – let alone a Cox Plate or Melbourne Cup Winning racehorse. He does not own a single hair champion mare Winx or stallion Preferment (those horses are owned by the family of one of his previous partners), champion gelding Kingston Town or stallion Octagonal – despite his claims that he is the owner or part owner of each of those horses;
- Neither he or his family have any affiliation whatsoever with King Ranch or King Ranch Australia – despite his claims to the contrary;
- He does not have millions of dollars, nor is he the heir to millions of dollars. If he is lucky he may inherit his parent’s modest house in Mudgee;
- He is certainly not not building a rural property empire for his family;
- He does not own any farms – especially not Corynnia Station, which is owned by my family and has been since the early 1980’s;
- He does not own any planes or helicopters – let alone a 20 seater and 8 seater private jet and a Cessna 172 which he “flies himself”. The Cessna actually belongs to my father – and he waited for 30 years to get it;
- He is a convicted fraud – in March 2016 he was arrested on outstanding warrants for obtaining goods by deception;
- He has been targeting women across Australia for at least 10 years – a lot of the time through online dating sites – pretending to be the man of their dreams – all while sucking them dry financially, emotionally abusing them and then leaving them high and dry with broken hearts;
- He has been ripping off businesses across Australia for at least 10 years – booking up things to accounts that he has not been authorised to do, paying for things with cheques that he knew would bounce and buying things from clearing sales and then taking the goods without paying;
- He is also partial to men – having profiles on gaymatchmaker.com, matching with men on Tinder and having “dated” men in the past – which means that neither men or women are safe from him;
- He is not nursing a broken heart and recovering from a string of bad relationships – in fact, he is the one has been breaking hearts across Australia for many years;
- He is a cheat, a liar, a conman and a fraud. He takes advantage of his victim’s weaknesses, takes everything he can from them (plus a bit more) and then leaves them – most of the time broken hearted and with a terrible mess to clean up;
- HE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU LET HIM INTO YOUR LIFE!
So, you may ask -how is a man like this not in jail? That is a very good question. Unfortunately, Brett Joseph has spent the majority of his life “playing the system”. From claiming “mental illness” to threatening suicide to avoiding authorities – Brett Joseph has done it all! I have had countless people contact me since I started my crusade to expose Brett – their stories of what he has done and how he has managed to avoid being brought to account are astounding!
So what is my story ? You can read the long version by clicking here, but here is the short version: I was in a relationship with Brett Joseph for 6 months. We met on Tinder in March 2016 and we started a whirlwind relationship on 2 April 2016. I thought that he was everything I had been looking for for such a long time. He was loving, he had the same interests and passions as me, he was educated, he wanted to make a life in the country , he wanted children, he loved my family and, most importantly, he loved me just the way I was – he was literally everything I had dreamed of – or so I though! Luckily for me, our relationship ended abruptly on 1 September 2016 when I kicked Brett out of my house after learning exactly who and what he was.
Since that day I have learned a great deal about Brett. I have learnt about the tens, if not hundreds of individuals and businesses that he has scammed and conned over the past 10+ years. I have learnt about the broken hearts that he has left in his wake. I have learnt about his criminal activities as well as the things that he has done that should be criminal. I have learnt about the women who have been victimized by this man and who have not shared their stories – often because they were too scared, embarrassed, scarred or broken to do so.
Everything I have learnt since the day I found out just who Brett was has started a fire in me. It is a fire that has given me the drive to put a stop to Brett Joseph’s horrendous behaviour once and for all. He has gotten away with too much for too long – and it is time for that to stop. It is time for the manipulation and the lies to stop. It is time for his parent’s to stop trying to condone his behaviour and blame it on “mental illness”. It is time for his victims to band together and stand up to him and bring him to account for everything that he has done. It is time for law enforcement to properly investigate this man and bring him to account for his criminal activities. It is time for everyone to be aware of exactly who he is and what he has done – whether that be by way of social media, mainstream media or word of mouth.
It is time to make the world a place where Brett Joseph’s face is recognised everywhere he goes so that he is unable to get away with the things that he has gotten away with for so long! Knowledge is power – and my goal is to give you all the knowledge you need in case his man walks into your life, the life of someone you love, the life of a colleague, or even when you see him walking down the street one day with some poor girl who is, more than likely, another victim!

I met Brett on RSVP in 2011.
I live in Mt Gambier.
We went on a few dates and he said he fell in love with me at first sight.
He said he would take me overseas, wanted to get married!
He was very keen from the start and this is what worryed me abit! I had gut feeling something wasn’t right!
He said to me he was rich and drop a few names who he was the heir to but to me didn’t mean a thing! Showed me a mansion which was his family home.
He said he worked for brayer as an agronomist and I happened to turn up when one of his work mates was at his house And that person really did work there! So with my understanding he was working down here.
I googled him and it came up that he was an actor! I asked about it and he said he wasn’t anymore and had asked for it to be taken down.
We went to the Naracoorte show where he judged sheep and I got annoyed with him talking to a girl!
I tried to end it and he got really nasty.
Luckily I decided to listen to my gut instinct and didn’t see him any more! Luckily! It was a real eye opener for my first Dating experience!
I then met a person who lived in Mudgee and who knew the family! He lived in town and not on a farm! His mum worked in the local mitre 10 shop!
I have been wondering what he has been up to! I found the story from a currant affair and thought wow! I’m so lucky i broke it off! He was so keen to live with me after a week and we had a family farm.
I was a single mum with two boys so it was scary to think about it! But i didn’t have any money anyway! So
Always wondered why he went after me!
It was my friend from Mudgee who made me aware of him again just last week!
So sorry to hear what he did to you! I hope he is stopped!

I was a beauty therapist in Quirindi, Brett Joseph booked in for a massage (at this point he was actually dating a work colleagues daughter) and he talked to me the whole way through the 1 hour massage, I started to feel very uncomfortable. He told me things along the lines of he would let me stay in his mansion in Chelsea, London, that his family owned a horse stud, how wealthy he was etc etc. finally the massage was over then he rebooked for a week later. I tried to remain professional and booked him in. With in half an hour I had a msg on the work phone (our work phone was a mobile, so it was a text) saying “that felt so good you really hit the spot 😉 Love B xx” at that point I felt so uncomfortable I spoke to my boss and he suggested to cancel his next appointment and just say I was double booked. This guy is creepy and sooo good at manipulating just be carful.

This guy was messaging me just last week. He said his name was James and he was new to the DFW area and recently out of a relationship.
It didn’t go anywhere because he seemed shady. Now I know my intuition was correct.

He’s currently living in olivia tx and is married to an ex police officer from dallas i think she said…he’s currently suing me and another neighbor who happens to be an attorney…real piece of work. Another neighbor just found this site today..he’s already made himself enemies with the entire town in no time

Daisy, he has NPD. People who have this disorder are extremely skilled and very manipulative. Do some research on the disorder. If you’re on Facebook look up “after Narcissistic abuse- there is life light love”. Be warned though, Narcissists don’t like to be exposed, and many people fall for their charm believe them, and will turn their backs on you. This guy tried to con me when I was about 16, I was at Mudgee with my parents and sister show jumping and he had a big fake diamond ring on, he said it was off the trophy of some major race that the race horse he owned had won.
He was going to sponsor my sister and I, he was going to provide a truck load of hay etc. he was very convincing and offering a lot.
It would have been about 2002. So he has been at this a long time.
He stuffed up by mentioning a relation at Colnabarabran and my parents rang them and asked about him and they said he had nothing.
He is such a con.

I went to a sale in Leeton , I think June/July? I saw this person there & wearing the Corrynnia Blue shirt ,knowing your family well as we are locals , I made my self known to him . He said he had married you & farmed with you & your family . I continued to talk farm stuff like excess rain [As I would of to your father in C&Miller] . I found his conversation a bit lacking in that part knowing in your country you would have much frustrating times . He was keen to finish the conversation , he looked the part with a list & pen ticking things off as he bid , I thought & wondered knowing part of your business it is great to have many old things about but I didn’t forget as I thought your parents must have put a lot of homework into pricing for such a large sale , myself wondering why wasn’t your father there? given the wet conditions at the time !! Basically he was convincing but parts weren’t right . You deserve a great partner in life , we do find them when we least expect it . I’m proud of your stance ,you have my support totally & also my best wishes for the future ! GO FOR IT !

He sounds almost identical to my ex David Orvel Deziel who is also a conman, liar, theif, criminal and woman basher. David is just as dangerous and sly however has a swauve Canadian accent which helps win us vulnerable Aussie women over. If you know or meet David, call immigration, they have been saving a bed for him in Villawood for years.

If it makes you feel any better, I broke his heart and made him cry back in 2009, I was working and living in Moss Vale at the time.
Seriously but, I knew he was full of rubbish from the beginning, telling me his family were super wealthy and had a property in Mudgee that had been in the family for so long it even had their own church on the estate…..and he was studying agriculture….and he had his real estate license and wanted to move up to the NT to be with me and already had a job lined up with Elders, I told him it was not a good idea and stopped talking to him…..I had already bushed him when I saw him at Mudgee when I was there for a shot show, and I yelled at him in a pub full of people for being a weird little stalker and told him to leave me the fuck alone….and he cried and ran away and I never saw him again…..until today when I saw a story on him on Daily Mail!

OK, I have a hunch I might have also been on a date with this guy, though I cannot for the life of me remember what he called himself (buy it could well have been “Jay” – as that’s ringing a bell). The lead-up was a very many weeks of messages and phone calls and many failed attempts to hook up (he kept changing the date, which was so weird). During this time, he told me more bull5hit than I care to remember. He told me he was once a Calvin Klein underwear model, an ex olympian, was currently an architect (and a builder), who was currently lecturing in sustainable building design (or something similar), an artist, an inheritor of a small fortune (which he chose to spend building schools in – I cannot remember where). He kept gloating about being a member of Mensa, and was so eager to try to impress with big words and his knowledge of literature and the classics (which was superficial, at best). He also told me that he had nursed his previous partner who died of cancer. He told me his family had a property on the Mornington Peninsula, and that he rescued horses, and was an equestrian of note. He contacted me on POF, and in the end, I really met him more out of curiosity than anything else, in the end. We had a glass of wine and shared a plate of tapas. He pigged more than his fair share down and lacked manners. I asked for the bill, and it was around $40, and we each out in a $20. The brought a few dollars change, which he promptly pocketed. I turned to him and said “I think we could bring ourselves to leave, the change for the tip, couldn’t we?!” He was exposed and embarrassed and he skittered away into the rainy Melbourne night.

Watch out ladies. He is charismatic, warm, charming, but from the outset, sizing up your worth and what he stands to gain from sidling up to you. Not sure if it’s the same person but I had someone messaging me on Instagram using Josh Small’s pictures, he goes by the name Garth Alfred/Shuk Alfred.
I thought he was too good to be true so done a bit of digging & found the pictures belonged to Josh.
I reported him to IG & haven’t seen/heard from him since.
He’s still active on Telegram & is still using josh’s pictures of his kids as his profile!
He’s a disgusting piece of S*** & needs to be stopped.

I live in Colorado he has been talking to me sense 2019 I have sent him money time after time he said he was attacked in Africa on a job he is a global contractor asked if I would help him get back on his feet because he was stuck in another country and he is from North Carolina his father is dead and his mother lives not to far away. I ask him all the time to video chat and he always has an excuses his boys messed up his phone or it doesn’t work well, etc… I am completely and utterly disgusted. I am at a list for words right now and scared he knows everything about me.

He is also suing several neighbors under false pretenses and has NOT made any friends around here. I’ll be sharing this with everyone in our neighborhood!
